The new Battlefield in a Box Defences set provides you with all the necessary fortifications needed to hold off your opponents forces. Using wire, mines, trenches and obstacles you can create your own impenetrable fortress for your troops. Use the trench sections to prepare multiple lines of trenches across your front line so that your men can fire on the enemy while protected. Then connect these lines with smaller communications trenches to allow your reserves to advance quickly and safely while under fire. Also make good use of your Gun Pits to protect your vulnerable guns from enemy fire. Anti-tank barriers are perfect to stall tanks in vulnerable positions while your anti-tank guns pick them apart. Similarly, the barbed wire sections are a cheap and effective way to keep the enemy infantry from assaulting your own positions. Site your machine-guns over the wire so that you can inflict maximum damage on your opponents troops. Large minefields have been sown into the soil with both Tellermine 43 anti-tank mines and the pernicious S-Mine 35 antipersonnel mines, making the minefield sections deadly to both tanks and infantry! Use these sections to block off critical approaches or in front of you troops to protect them from assaults. Contains: 4x barbed wire obstacles (8/20cmx2/5cm) 1x anti-tank obstacle (8/20cmx2/5cm) 2x minefields (8/20cmx2/5cm) 2x long trench lines (8/20cm) 4x medium trench lines (4/10cm) 4x short trench lines (2/5cm) 8x 45° corner trench lines 4x 90° corner trench lines 4x trench end pieces More...

Also during assaults when your troops may leave there foxholes to finish off the enemy you can leave the markers in place for your troops to return to.In Flames Of WarThough it is a miserable experience to dig a foxhole one minute and leave it the next, sometimes it has to happen. Unfortunately, even if you return to the same location later, the tactical situation is likely to have changed and you will have to dig new positions.Log Emplacement Dug-in Markers (BB107)If a team leaves its Foxhole, the Foxhole disappears immediately. The only exception to this is that a team may leave and then re-occupy a Foxhole while defending against an assault. If a dug in platoon is assaulted, leave markers indicating the Foxholes occupied by your troops when they vacate them. Any team from that platoon that ends the Assault Step back in one of the platoons Foxholes remains dug in. If a team cannot reach an unoccupied Foxhole at the end of the Assault Step, it is no longer dug in. The Beach Obstacles pack contains two different types of obstacle that confronted the Allies on D-Day.Stakes: These were the most common obstacles encountered on the beaches of Normandy. They consisted of wooden or metal stakes tipped with Teller mines. These were driven into the beach sand below the high-tide mark to destroy incoming landing craft and vehicles. Ramps: These beam obstructions were designed to disable or destroy landing craft. The beam ramped upwards towards the beach and was mounted on two more study beams. Each ramp was either armed with steel teeth or Teller mines. The landing craft would ride up the ramp and either be ripped apart by the teeth or destroyed by the exploding mine. The ramps were also designed to tip the landing craft over. The pack contains six ramps, three with steel teeth and three with Teller mines. The pack contains six wooden and six metal stakes. More...
